Listening to Laila Mach’s music is a lot like going through her Notes app. Unfiltered feelings, intimate thoughts, and everything she wants to say will ultimately surface in her songwriting. Instead of just leaving emotions in the cloud though, she projects them as loudly as possible to the world through her open-hearted pop anthems. As such, the New York-born singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist effectively speaks her mind and heart without fear, resonating with audiences in the process. Laila recognized her musical calling as a kid in the rural town of New Paltz, NY. Growing up in “a huge Italian family,” she learned how to sing as soon as she could speak. By the age of five, she picked up piano and guitar, teaching herself as much as possible. Honing her confidence in theater during middle school, she penned her first song at 15-years-old. At the onset of the Global Pandemic, Laila’s dad encouraged her to audition for Season 19 of American Idol via ZOOM. In between juggling her sophomore year in high school, she advanced through four rounds, performing in San Diego and Los Angeles. However, the experience just inspired her to keep going and write solo material. Taking to TikTok, she built an audience on social media by unveiling “Official Lover” and “Real Tired (Acoustic).” In 2023, “In Secret” surged on TikTok, going mega-viral on the platform. Thus far, it has amassed north of 6.1 million Spotify streams. The tune also caught the attention of Republic Records who signed her. Now, she holds nothing back on a series of 2025 singles and much more to come.
